School GovernorsOn behalf of the Governing Body I would like to welcome you to the Governors pages on the School website. As a Voluntary Aided School within the state education sector, Watford Grammar School for Boys is self-governing which means the Governing Body is responsible for the School’s strategic directions, its policies and finances.
The membership of the Governing Body reflects a wide range of interests and talents; members are chosen for breadth of contribution that they are able to make to the governance of the School. Meetings of the full Governing Body are held each term.
The School is governed by 20 members. The Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and London are formally represented. There are separate representatives for Hertfordshire County Council and Watford Parish Church.
One third of the Governing Body consists of Parent Governors. Their role is to represent the views of parents when decisions are taken about how the School is run.
I would urge you to contact them directly if you have a query or any comments about the future strategic direction of the School. Click here for the latest Governors Annual Report and the Watford Fuller Foundation Trust Report
