“We are most impressed by the learning, performance and recording facilities at the ClarendonMuse. The new resources will complement BBC activity at The Colosseum and we have already taken advantage of this in a number of BBC projects, some involving BBC Radio and BBC TV. The building is amarvellous resource for Watford and will contribute enormously to the musical life of the town.”

Our innovative collaboration with the nationally acclaimed Watford School of Music has resulted in the Clarendon Muse - a spectacular building providing 2000sqm of space that has the capability to deliver the very best in music education to our pupils and the local community. The building, which has won a RIBA award, houses a 200-seat auditorium; a double height foyer/entertainment space; 24 sound-proofed recital and practice rooms; a music technology suite, teaching spaces for single students and classes and a recording studio.
The Clarendon Muse was jointly funded by ourselves and the Hertfordshire Music Service. Our share was paid through the sale of redundant land. However, a total of £250,000 is still needed to equip the Clarendon Muse ensuring it becomes a music education hub delivering, facilitating and hosting a comprehensive range of musical opportunities for our young pupils and the wider community.
