Snow and Severe Weather Procedure
In the event of snow or other severe weather, the School will assess site safety and local travel conditions as early as possible on the day. While forecasts may not always predict disruption in Watford, we recognise that conditions can change rapidly and we therefore prepare contingency plans in advance.
If it is deemed unsafe to open the school due to weather conditions, the Senior Leadership Team will endeavour to notify the school community by 7.00am on the day of closure.
This information will be communicated via the school website, email and Google Classroom.
Should the school site be closed, teaching will continue remotely. Teachers will set work for pupils via Google Classroom, enabling boys to follow their usual timetabled lessons and continue learning from home.
Parents and carers are asked to check communications channels on the morning of any forecasted severe weather before travelling to school.
