Charity Fundraising Sterling work from our sixth form students
BackOur Head Boy team, Senior Prefects and House Captains in Years 12 and 13 have been busy arranging and encouraging younger students to join in a variety of charity fundraising activities during the Autumn term and continuing this half term.
So far this academic year, an incredible amount of £6,520.00 has been raised for our three school charities, as chosen by the students – New Hope Trust, Young Minds and the Railway Children – nearly surpassing the total amount raised in 2021-22 already!
Events have included joint Halloween discos for our students in Years 7 and 8 and those from Watford Grammar School for Girls, arranged by the joint schools’ Senior Prefect teams, inter-form football tournaments at break and the ever popular non-uniform days.
Most recently, the Head Boy team received a donation of a limited edition Barcelona football shirt, signed by rapper Drake.
Congratulations to the winner of the school raffle for this, Josh in year 7– over 600 raffle tickets were sold and £1,300.00 raised for charity from this raffle alone – the raffle was drawn at lunchtime amongst great excitement from the students!
